Elmood-East-Kildonan exists on the ancestral lands and waters of the Anishinaabe, Anisininew, Ininiwak/Nehethowuk, Dakota Oyate, Dënesųłinë́ Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We gratefully acknowledge that our water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation and Iskatewizaagegan 39 Independent First Nation, and that our hydro power is received from Tataskweyak Cree Nation, from waterways in the north on Treaty 5 lands, and from the Winnipeg River on Treaty 3 lands.
We express our respect and gratitude to the original, traditional custodians of this land.
